All permits are now in place for GGN!
THE WORLD’S BEST WEDNESDAY!
Congratulations to Gotland, participants, suppliers, partners, spectators, TV viewers, landowners, associations, and everyone else who is part of Gotland Grand National. All permits are now in place for the world’s largest enduro race, so welcome to Gotland on October 22–24, 2026!
Today, on May 13, 2026, the County Administrative Board of Gotland announced its decision to grant Gotland Grand National permission to hold the event with a temporary exemption for 2026 as well. The decision includes exemptions for off-road driving and permits under the Public Order Act. The County Administrative Board states that the decision remains valid even if appealed, since the permits are temporary in nature.
At the same time, we also received approval as organizers to extend the permit for restoring the power line corridor and the clear-cut area, as well as completing the two new hills in Arena 1.
These decisions give us at Nordic Sport & Event peace of mind, allowing us to continue working on the race and the course, while calmly proceeding with the building permit process and the appeal currently under review by the County Administrative Board in Stockholm following two appeals.
We are now looking forward to the 43rd edition (the 3rd in Hejdeby), and we will make sure it becomes the best GGN ever.
