GOTLAND GRAND NATIONAL 2.0: HIGHLY INTERESTING FOR THE STARS!**
With prize money of 350,000 SEK, GGN 2.0 features a very strong field of competitors in both the men’s and women’s categories.
– The latest star to join the team is Max Ahlin, who won the 2024 Junior World Championship and also won the Six Days with Sweden’s junior team.
– Norwegian Kevin Horgmo has impressive credentials, including a third-place finish in the Junior World Championship (125cc), two EMX250 round wins, and a fourth-place overall finish in the MX2 World Championship. This year, Kevin finished eighth overall in the World Championship. In 2019, he competed in Gotland but was unable to finish.
– One of the biggest favorites is undoubtedly Albin Elowson, who has won GGN for the past two years and aims to win the first race on the new GGN 2.0 track.
– Another big star, Taddy Blazusiak, who competed in 2018 (WESS), returns this year but on a powerful Varg (EL).
– Isak Gifting is another interesting name to keep an eye on in this year’s GGN.
– On the women's side, we have several participants who will be among the top contenders.
– Linnéa Åkesson, who won the last GGN at Tofta, is certainly one of the top favorites to win the GGN 2.0 premiere in Hejdeby.
– Hanna Berzelius is always among the top contenders and will be again this year. Hanna has previously won GGN.
– It’s third time’s the charm for German artist Larissa Papenmeier, who now has an entirely new track for everyone.
– Matilda Huss and Tyra Bäckström are always ones to watch.
