“The Gotland Grand National: The Best Long-Distance Race of the Year, with Mud and Fun”
In all classes, the race duration is 3 hours and takes place on a track approximately 2.5 mil long. At the 3-hour mark, the light at the finish line will turn on, and the driver must then exit the track. Participants may enter the track for one final lap before the clock reaches 2:59:59 and complete that lap. Participants are responsible for monitoring the lights at the turn signal, which light up for each starting group when it is time to exit the track at the 3-hour mark. The final lap is automatically deducted if the driver begins their final lap after the time has elapsed.
The Fitness Class Course
A loop of about 25 km with a refueling stop, lap counting, and a finish line.
The courses vary in terms of terrain, width, and course markings. Officials on motorcycles patrol the course and are in radio contact with medical personnel and race officials. If you cross the course markings, you must re-enter the course at the same spot. There are checkpoints along the course that scan your transponder.
What do you need to participate?
To participate in the world’s largest enduro race, the Gotland Grand National, you must have a license for the race issued by Svemo. You can only obtain a license if you are a member of a Svemo-affiliated club, so that is the first thing you need to do. The license serves as insurance for you as a participant in case something happens to you or another participant or official during the race. If you’re coming from another country, you’ll need a starting permit from your country’s federation.
You can purchase your license here: https://www.svemo.se/Service/forforare/Licens/
When will I receive my race number?
We'll release the race numbers about 6 weeks before the race and announce them via email and social media. You'll be able to find your race number in the start list published on the website.
I can't log in to my account?
You may not have an account yet. Try clicking “Create a new user account” and see if you can create an account using your personal information. If you’ve already registered for a race and want to register for a new one, you’ll also need to click “Create a new user account” there, since the races are kept separate in the system. But feel free to use the same login—it’ll be easier for you to remember it across all your accounts in the future.
If you've forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password," and new login credentials will be sent to you.
How does seeding work?
We seed based on the previous year's results. You are seeded based on your overall ranking, so even if you change classes this year, you will be seeded based on your overall ranking from the previous year, as we match participants using their personal identification numbers.
We are following Svemo's regulations, and these are supplementary rules that have been amended and approved by Svemo specifically for this year's Gotland Grand National.
