RACHEL GUTISH FROM THE U.S. SET TO JOIN GGN

PRESS RELEASE July 10, 2026

TWO-TIME WORLD CHAMPION RACHEL GUTISH FROM THE U.S. SET TO COMPETE IN THE 2026 GOTLAND GRAND NATIONAL

The world’s largest enduro race, the Gotland Grand National (GGN), can now announce yet another top international name for this year’s event. American Rachel Gutish, one of the world’s most successful female enduro riders, is set to compete in the 2026 Gotland Grand National.

Rachel Gutish is coming to Gotland as the reigning FIM EnduroGP world champion. She has also already secured the 2026 world championship title, even though one round remains, which means she will be world champion two years in a row.

In addition to her two consecutive world championship titles, Gutish has a track record that few riders in the world can match. Among other achievements, she is a four-time world champion with the U.S. team in the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), a multiple U.S. champion, a Canadian champion, an EnduroCross champion, and one of the most accomplished female enduro riders of all time.

“The fact that reigning two-time world champion Rachel Gutish is coming to Gotland and GGN is further proof that our international efforts are paying off. Earlier this week, we announced that top driver Jessica Gardiner from Australia is set to compete in GGN,” says Conny Bohlin, CEO of Nordic Sport & Event.

– We want the Gotland Grand National to be the go-to venue where the world’s elite meet the general public. When the world’s best drivers come to Gotland, they inspire the next generation. Our young girls and boys get the chance to experience the world stars up close and see what it takes to reach the top.

Rachel Gutish, who races under the Rieju banner, is yet another big name in the organizer’s long-term commitment to women’s endurance racing. Nordic Sport & Event is working purposefully to increase the number of female participants and create the world’s strongest field of competitors on the women’s side as well.

“We’re investing just as much in the women’s race as in the men’s. It’s about equal opportunities, equal exposure, and equal prize money. With Rachel Gutish and the other world-class riders on board, we’re strengthening the Gotland Grand Nationals’ position as one of the world’s most attractive enduro races,” says Conny Bohlin.

At the same time, Nordic Sport & Event continues its extensive international efforts surrounding the event. During the race weekend, 12 hours of live TV coverage will be produced and distributed to both national and international audiences, while a record-high prize purse of over 400,000 kronor will be awarded. This initiative aims to further strengthen the Gotland Grand National’s international status and attract the world’s top drivers to Gotland.
