20-YEAR-OLD AUSTRALIAN RISING STAR WILL DENNETT IS SET TO COMPETE IN THE 2026 GOTLAND GRAND NATIONAL!
The world’s largest enduro race, the Gotland Grand National (GGN), continues to attract top international riders. It has now been confirmed that 20-year-old Australian rising star Will Dennett will compete in the 2026 GGN.
Will Dennett, who races for Triumph Motorcycles, made his debut in the 2025 Gotland Grand National in the junior class. Although he was running in an impressive fourth place, he was forced to retire from the race. Now he’s returning to Gotland with his sights set on a podium finish.
“Will Dennett is one of Australia’s most promising young enduro riders. He already showed last year that he has what it takes to compete at the top level in the Gotland Grand National. The experience he gained from his debut means he’ll return even better prepared, and we believe he’ll be one of the riders to watch in the battle for the podium spots,” says Conny Bohlin, CEO of Nordic Sport & Event.
Over the past week, the organizer has also announced the participation of top Australian rider Jessica Gardiner and two-time world champion Rachel Gutish from the U.S. Australia has long been considered one of the world’s strongest enduro nations. The fact that both Jessica Gardiner and Will Dennett have chosen to compete in the 2026 Gotland Grand National clearly demonstrates how the event continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s most attractive international enduro races. The Gotland Grand National is the world’s largest enduro race and attracts over 3,000 participants from about 15 countries each year.
-The Gotland Grand National began in 1984 and has been held for 42 consecutive years.
-Participants range in age from about 5 to 75 years old.
-A course approximately 25 kilometers long through Gotland’s terrain.
-Approximately 28,000 guest nights during the race week.
-Approximately 100 million kronor in annual revenue for the local business community.
-Approximately 800,000 kronor for community organizations annually.
-Twelve hours of live broadcast in 2026, spread over two days.
