Permit Granted for This Year's Competition
Congratulations to Gotland, the participants, vendors, partners, spectators, TV viewers, landowners, clubs, and everyone else who is part of the Gotland Grand National.
All the permits are now in place for the world’s largest enduro race, so welcome to Gotland on October 22–24, 2026!
Today, May 13, 2026, the Gotland County Administrative Board announced its decision granting the Gotland Grand National permission to hold the race under a temporary exemption in 2026 as well. The decision pertains to an exemption for off-road driving and a permit under the Public Order Act. The County Administrative Board states that the decision remains in effect even if it is appealed, as the decisions are temporary. At the same time, a decision was issued granting us, as the organizer, an extended permit to restore the power line corridor and the clear-cut area, as well as to complete construction of the two new slopes in Arena 1. These decisions give us at Nordic Sport & Event peace of mind, allowing us to continue working on the competition and the course, and to proceed calmly with the building permit and the appeal currently pending with the County Administrative Board in Stockholm for a decision following two appeals. We are now looking forward to the 43rd edition (the 3rd in Hejdeby), and we will make sure it’s the best GGN ever.
