– With less than two weeks to go until the Gotland Grand National, we’ve wrapped up our interview with Junior World Champion Hamish Macdonald from New Zealand. Conny Bohlin from Nordic Sport & Event, the event organizer, says his achievements are impressive.
– 2020 WORLD CHAMPION, JUNIOR ENDURO GP
– 2019 WORLD CHAMPION, YOUTH ENDURO GP
– 2018 RUNNER-UP, YOUTH ENDURO GP
– Thomas Klarkner, Team Manager for Team Sherco Sweden, is looking forward to this year’s GGN with a rider like Hamish Macdonald on the team. Given his caliber, it will be exciting to see what we can achieve on Gotland, but at the same time, we are humbled by the challenge posed by the enormous, strong field of competitors at GGN in 2023. GGN is like no other enduro competition in the world, concludes Thomas Klarkner.
The Gotland Grand National has also increased the prize money for the top male and female finishers, and for the 2023 GGN, the top male and female finishers will each take home 75,000 SEK. The second-place finishers will each earn 35,000 SEK, and the third-place finishers will each earn 15,000 SEK.
The Gotland Grand National is the world’s largest enduro competition, with over 3,000 participants from approximately seventeen different countries each year. In 2023, the competition will take place October 26–28 at the Tofta shooting range on Gotland.
