TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES' NEW MAIN PARTNER

Press Release May 21, 2026: TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES IS THE NEW MAIN SPONSOR OF THE GOTLAND GRAND NATIONAL

THE WORLD'S LARGEST ENDURO RACE, THE GOTLAND GRAND NATIONAL (GGN), AND TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES HAVE SIGNED A THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR 2026–2028.

Triumph Motorcycles entered the motocross and enduro scene as recently as 2024, but it is a well-established brand of road motorcycles with a history dating back to 1902.

Since entering the motocross and enduro scene in 2024, Triumph has captured significant market share, and the company is now stepping in as the title sponsor of the world’s largest enduro competition. This move demonstrates that Triumph is determined to grow even further in this segment.

– This agreement means an incredible amount to GGN and our company, Nordic Sport & Event, which has both owned and organized the competition since 2013. A week or so ago, we announced a major initiative featuring 12 hours of live TV coverage from Gotland and GGN, where we will now also showcase children, teenagers, and recreational athletes alongside the elite. “The fact that Triumph is now stepping in and making a major investment in us and GGN shows that we’ve made the right decisions all along with the new arena and our major commitment to showcasing the full breadth of the event on TV,” says Conny Bohlin, CEO of Nordic Sport & Event.

“When we were asked and given the opportunity to become a main partner of GGN, we had already discussed internally that it would be a good platform for us to increase our visibility. We’ve been partners with GGN since 2023 (the last year at the Tofta shooting range) and have seen how the new GGN has taken shape in Hejdeby on Gotland. The competition (the event) is massive and important for the entire industry, so taking this major step with our brand is perfectly timed for us,” says Fredrik Widerberg, Technical & Off-Road Program Manager, Triumph Motorcycles Nordic.

KTM has been the main partner of GGN and has played a key role in the event’s development and growth, saving the event 20 years ago. The company is now handing over the role of main partner to Triumph Motorcycles, while KTM will continue to be a partner of GGN.

“We’re proud of what we’ve helped build together with GGN over the years, and we’re optimistic about the competition’s continued development,” says Anders Sarbäcken, CEO of KTM Scandinavia.

The Gotland Grand National takes place October 22–24, 2026, and attracts more than 3,000 participants from around 18 countries each year. The event is of great importance to the local economy and generates tens of thousands of overnight stays on Gotland every year.
