PRESS RELEASE 10 July 2026
TWO-TIME FIM ENDUROGP WORLD CHAMPION RACHEL GUTISH (USA) CONFIRMED FOR GOTLAND GRAND NATIONAL 2026
The world’s largest enduro race, Gotland Grand National (GGN), is proud to announce another major international signing for the 2026 event. American rider Rachel Gutish, one of the world’s most accomplished female enduro competitors, is officially confirmed for Gotland Grand National 2026.
Rachel Gutish arrives in Gotland as the reigning FIM EnduroGP World Champion. She has also already secured the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship, despite one round still remaining, making her a two-time consecutive World Champion.
In addition to her back-to-back world titles, Gutish has built one of the most impressive résumés in international enduro. She is a four-time FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) Women’s World Trophy Champion with Team USA, a multiple-time AMA National Enduro Champion, Canadian National Enduro Champion, AMA EnduroCross Champion, and is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished female enduro riders of all time.
“The fact that reigning two-time World Champion Rachel Gutish is coming to Gotland and GGN is yet another sign that our international investment is delivering results. Earlier this week, we announced that Australian top rider Jessica Gardiner has joined GGN,” says Conny Bohlin, CEO of Nordic Sport & Event.
“We want Gotland Grand National to be the natural meeting place where the world’s elite competes alongside thousands of riders of all levels. When the very best riders come to Gotland, they inspire the next generation. Young girls and boys have the opportunity to experience the world’s biggest stars up close and see what it takes to reach the highest level.”
Rachel Gutish, who rides for Rieju, adds another high-profile name to the organizer’s long-term commitment to women’s enduro. Nordic Sport & Event is working strategically to increase female participation and build the strongest women’s field in the world
“We invest just as much in women’s racing as we do in men’s. It’s about equal opportunities, equal exposure and equal prize money. With Rachel Gutish and the other international stars on the starting line, Gotland Grand National further strengthens its position as one of the world’s most attractive enduro events,” says Conny Bohlin.
At the same time, Nordic Sport & Event continues its major international expansion of the event. During race weekend, 12 hours of live television coverage will be produced and distributed to both national and international audiences. Combined with a record prize fund exceeding SEK 400,000, the initiative is designed to further strengthen Gotland Grand National’s global profile and attract the world’s very best riders to Gotland.
