History Gotland Grand National
GGN was first run in 1984. In 2000, it was the first time over 2000 registered and in 2016 there were over 3000 registered. Gotland Grand National has long been considered the world’s largest Enduro competition. The length of the course was before 22 km, a lap race. Respective classes run for 3 hours. Today there are classes for all ages and also for motorcycle age. About 700 people work with the competition from many different sports associations on Gotland. From 2024, the entire organization switched areas and implemented a GGN 2.0 in Hejdeby, on a completely new track with its 25 km.
