GGN TOWARDS 300 WOMAN

Together we will ensure that we reach 300 woman to GGN. The world’s largest Enduro competition Gotland Grand National with over 3000 starters is now making a major investment to reach 300 girls – women on the starting line. The industry is dominated by boys & men who constitutes 95% of the starters today. Together with seven proud partners, we will now increase the number of girls – woman from 100 to 300 starters.

With a 50% discount for all girls – woman who have never ridden GGN before and with new prize money for ladies in total, we are now making this big investment towards our common goal. Which class should I choose?

In Gotland Grand National, you as a woman have a great choice to participate in which class suits you best. There are both exercise classes or elite classes and classes for different types of vehicles. GGN also offers classes for our young girls. There is a youth class for the age of 12-16 years and Golden Helmet classes for the youngest up to 12 years with a division into girls and boys.

As a woman in Gotland Grand National, you can choose the class that suits you. During Friday’s competition, you can participate in the amateur class for women (split into 2 classes: 15-29 yrs and 30+) or amateur class with all riders with a division by age. But you also have the option to participate in the Military class that rides at the same time or in the morning Veteran class if you participate in GGN with an older bike.

Riding schedule for the different classes

Friday, the following classes will run:
7 – Amateur 50-59 years
8 – Amateur women 15-29 years
9- Amateur women 30+
10- Military
12 – Amateur 60+ years
14 – Veteran “Pre 74”
15 – Veteran “1975-1985”
16 – Veteran “EVO”
17 – Veteran “Super EVO”

Saturday, the following classes will run:
1 – Elite
1 – Elite, women
2 – Senior 24-65 years
3 – Junior
4 – Amateur 15-29 years
5 – Amateur 30-39 years
6 – Amateur 40-49 years
18 – Electric

Youth classes run on Friday 
Class 1: Youth E0 according to SR Enduro (From 49cc to 85cc 2-stroke and from 75cc to 150cc 4-stroke).
Class 2: Youth E1/E2 according to SR Enduro (From 100cc to 144cc 2-stroke and 175cc to 250cc 4-stroke).

Golden helmet classes run on Friday 
Class 3 – Mc over 65cc to 85cc 2-stroke and from 75cc to 150cc 4-stroke (SR Enduro 9.5.1).
Class 4 – Mc over 50cc to 65cc 2-stroke (SR Enduro 9.5.1).
Class 5 – Mc max 50cc 2-stroke (SR Enduro 9.5.1).

Riding times

Golden Helmet – In all classes the driving time is 45 min. At 45 minutes, the participants are flagged off.

Youth – In all classes the driving time is 2 hours. At 2 hours, the light comes on when turning and the driver must then drive off the track. The participant may go out on one last lap before the clock has passed 1:59:59 and complete that lap.

Veteran class – In all classes the driving time is 60 min. At 60 minutes, the light comes on when turning and the driver must then drive off the track. The participant may go out on one last lap before the clock has passed 0:59:59 and complete that lap.

Amateur and Elite class – In all classes the driving time is 3 hours. At 3 hours, the light comes on when turning and the driver must then drive off the track. The participant may go out on one last lap before the clock has passed 2:59:59 and complete that lap. The participants are responsible for looking at the lights at the turn that are lit for each starting group when it is time to drive off the track at 3 hours.

The last lap is automatically deducted if the driver goes out on his last lap when the time has elapsed. Applies to All classes except Golden Helmet.
